The short answer

Is there a mobile tyre fitter near Read, Lancashire?

Yes. Read is covered by YourNewTyres 24 hours a day, including the M65 near junction 8 at Hapton, the A671 and your drive. Once you are safe, send the reg and your pin for three fitted prices and a real arrival time. No call out charge.

Read is a village in BB12, in the Ribble Valley. The A671 Whalley Road is about 0.2 miles from it, and the M65 at junction 8, Hapton Interchange, about 2.1 miles away. So tyres here go on the motorway as often as on the drive. We handle both. Read is part of our mobile tyre fitting Burnley patch.

On the M65, people come before the tyre. Coast to the hard shoulder, hazards flashing, passengers out on the verge side. Climb the bank and stay behind the barrier. If you are marooned in a live lane, that is a 999 call. When you are clear, the location pin comes to us.

Off the motorway it is easier. Time Technology Park is about a mile from Read, Altham Business Park about 1.4 miles and Shuttleworth Mead Business Park about 1.5. The Lidl and the Tesco are both about 1.9 miles off. Train from Hapton, about 2.4 miles away? Tell us where you parked.

How much does mobile tyre fitting cost in Read?

Mobile tyre fitting in Read costs from £79.95 per tyre, fitted at your home, work or the roadside. That includes fitting, balancing, a new valve and taking the old tyre away, with no call-out charge at any hour. A puncture repair to British Standard BS AU 159 is £39.95.

How quickly can a mobile tyre fitter get to me in Read?

Around 32 minutes on average, measured on our own job records across our core area, 24 hours a day. The common sizes ride on the van, so most jobs in Read are fitted the same day, and rarer sizes are usually next day. Send the registration and where the car is, and a fitted price and a real arrival time come straight back.

WhatsApp, any hour

Send the tyre size. We send back a fitted price and a time.

The size is on the sidewall of the tyre, or send us a photo of it. It lands with the fitter on shift. No call-out charge, and the fitting is already in the price.

You are through to YourNewTyres. What size are the tyres?

The size is printed on the sidewall, like 205/55 R16. Send that and where you are, and I will come back with a fitted price and the next slot.

A photo of the sidewall does the job if you would rather not type it out.

Things to do in Read

Gawthorpe, golf or a castle. Leave the tyre to us.

Read has good days out on both sides of the village. Whalley Golf Club is around 1.5 miles away. Gawthorpe Hall, a museum, sits near 2.5 miles off, and so does the Gawthorpe Textiles Collection. Primrose Nature Reserve is roughly 4 miles out, and Clitheroe Castle is close to 4.5 miles from Read, a good one to pair with lunch in town.

Tee time and a soft tyre? Play the round. Message us the reg with the name of the club, and the tyre is swapped while you are on the course. Or the fitter comes to your Read drive afterwards. Any hour suits us, and the visit carries no call out charge. For Burnley, see mobile tyre fitting Burnley.

There is one fitted price per tyre and it is the price you pay, whatever the hour. Send the registration on WhatsApp and you get budget, mid-range and premium options back, each with the fitting already in. A pair or a set can go on pay monthly at 0% interest, subject to status.

The arrival time we send is the real one for that job, not a promise made before we know where you are. On a motorway, get behind the barrier first, then send your location, and read what to do after a motorway blowout first.

There is, and the phone is answered at every hour. Read, the A671 and the M65 near Hapton are all ours to cover. We turn up with the tyre, a tyre machine and a wheel balancer, and the job is done where the car has stopped.

Read has no tyre bay, and driving a flat to Burnley or Padiham is how a £39.95 fix turns into a new tyre and a scraped alloy. So do the opposite. Keep the car still and send the reg to 07943 185471. Three prices come back, each fitted, from cheapest to best, together with when we can be there.

Nothing is charged for the trip out. New to mobile fitting? How mobile tyre fitting works covers it in a few lines. The area page is Burnley, and 0300 124 6981 rings through to a real person.

Step one: get off the carriageway. Use the hard shoulder or the furthest left spot you can reach, and switch the hazards on. Step two: out through the passenger side, up the bank, behind the barrier. Step three: if the car never made it out of a live lane, 999 is the call to make.

Step four, only once you are clear: send us the pin. Motorway breakdowns are part of our round the clock cover, and junction 8 at Hapton is only about 2.1 miles from Read. Please do not try to jack the car up by the white line. Lorries move air, and people, a long way.

If Highways or the police tow you to a safer spot, just tell us the new place. Useful reading while you wait: what to do after a motorway blowout, and flat tyre and no spare if the boot has no spare.

Size and brand decide it. Text the Read reg and three prices land on your phone. Each covers the tyre itself, the labour, a fresh valve, the balance and getting rid of the old one.

A motorway rescue is priced the same as a drive fit. So is a 4am job. Once you say yes on WhatsApp, that number is fixed. On the rare day a car turns out to wear a different size from its record, the fitter stops and asks you, rather than changing the price quietly.

Sometimes all you need is a £39.95 repair to BS AU 159. A pair or a full set can be spread at 0% interest, subject to status. Ballpark numbers live on what mobile fitting costs and tyre prices in 2026.

Often it can, for £39.95 and to BS AU 159. We do not do plugs from the outside. The fitter takes the tyre off the rim and runs a hand round the inner wall first, because damage from motorway debris is often hidden in there.

What passes: a hole up to 6mm in the central part of the tread. What fails: anything in the shoulder, any cut in the side wall, and any tyre that has been driven while flat. A fail means we say so before we start and offer a new tyre from the van, fitted there and then.

Two tips while you wait. Leave the nail or bolt where it is, and do not roll the car further than you must. Read can a punctured tyre be repaired for the full rules.

Yes, and it is an easy one. Time Technology Park sits about a mile from Read. Park up, go to work, and the tyre is swapped in the car park before home time. Altham Business Park at about 1.4 miles and Shuttleworth Mead Business Park at about 1.5 work just the same.

Send four details: reg, colour, unit and roughly where you left it. The locking nut key can go in the glovebox, or be left at reception with your name on it. A standard bay gives us plenty of room.

The bill arrives as a secure payment link sent to your phone, so you can clear it at your desk. Vans on the same site? Ask us to look at those while we are there. Fleet tyre fitting and van tyres have more.

At home or at work, no. The owner is out, busy or in bed for plenty of Read fits. All we need is where the car is and how to deal with any locking nuts. At the roadside it is different: stay somewhere safe, within sight, until we arrive.

For home jobs, a flat, hard spot next to the wheel helps the jack. Parked on the lawn, loose chippings or a steep drive? Say so in your message and we come prepared. Same for gates that lock and dogs that bark.

When the wheel goes back on, your phone gets a text, plus a picture if you asked for one. Nobody needs to hang around for a card reader. Can you fit tyres at home explains the home side of it in more detail.

A single tyre is usually 20 to 40 minutes from when the van parks by your car in Read. Roadside jobs tend to sit around half an hour. A pair on the drive is about an hour.

Minute by minute: jack up, wheel off, old tyre peeled away on the van's machine, valve replaced, new tyre seated, wheel spun and balanced, back on the hub, nuts torqued, pressure set. The worn tyre goes with us for recycling, so nothing is left in your boot.

Most everyday sizes travel on the van, so one visit normally does it. Anything unusual is ordered for your reg, with the date agreed before you commit. Tyre sizes and run flat tyres explained help if you are unsure what you run.

You can. Our vans run all night, every night, and Read sits inside that cover. A 2am tyre has the same price as a 2pm one. There is no night fee and nothing added for coming out.

On a dark road, get off it, lights and hazards on, and keep yourself away from passing cars. Then send a pin and a quick photo of the damage. We reply with what it looks like and an honest arrival time. If you are alone and it is late, keep your phone charged and switched on so the fitter can reach you.

Fitters work under bright lamps, so darkness is not a problem. If you are home, leave the key somewhere we can reach and get some sleep. Emergency tyre fitting has more, or phone 0300 124 6981.

Any new tyre we fit is legal and safe, and every Read quote lists a budget, a mid range and a premium option side by side. Part worns never go on. That is a rule, not a sales line.

Here is the honest part. If the M65 is your daily run, a mid range tyre often lasts more miles and stops shorter in the rain, so over a year it can cost less per mile than a cheap one. For short hops round Read, a budget tyre is perfectly fine. The EU label ratings ride along with every price, so you can compare wet grip and noise on paper.

Need to spread it? A pair or more can go on 0% finance. Budget versus premium tyres explains the trade.

We do. Altham, Padiham, Sabden, Wiswell and Whalley are all in, together with the lanes round Read and the town of Burnley. The prices do not change with the postcode, and the hours do not either.

You do not need to live in a town to get a proper tyre service. We fit on drives, in farm yards, on business parks and in supermarket car parks. If the way to you is tight, steep or behind a locked gate, say so in your first text so the fitter comes ready. Unsure about your street? A WhatsApp with the postcode gets you a clear yes or no, any hour of the day.

Neighbours with pages of their own include Sabden and Whalley. For the town, go to Burnley.
