info@yournewtyres.co.ukA flat in Gwytherin used to mean a long, slow crawl down to Llanrwst. Now it means one message. Send the reg and we drive the tyre, the machine and a fitter up the lanes to you. Any hour, no call out charge, the price agreed first.
Tell us your name and tyre size — we will reply on WhatsApp with a price and an ETA.
Yes. Gwytherin, the LL22 hill village above Llanrwst in Conwy, is covered by YourNewTyres mobile tyre fitting 24 hours a day. The fitter drives up with the tyre and fits it in your yard, on the drive or in a safe gateway. WhatsApp the reg for fitted prices and a real arrival time. No call out charge.
Gwytherin is a hill village with no shop, no garage and no A road. Llanrwst is about 4.7 miles away, down in the valley. That is a long way on a tyre you do not trust, and on these lanes a soft tyre can wreck a rim quickly. So you stay put, and we come up. The valley towns are on mobile tyre fitting Llanrwst.
Because there is no supermarket or station close by, most Gwytherin jobs are done at home: in the yard, on the drive or in a field gateway by the house. If you are heading down to Llanrwst station, about 4.7 miles off, you can leave the car there and we fit it while you travel.
We fit car, 4x4, pick-up and van tyres, not tractor tyres. Muddy yard or steep drive? Tell us when you message and the fitter comes prepared. For the rest of North Wales, see our North Wales page and mobile tyre fitting Llanrwst.
Mobile tyre fitting in Gwytherin costs from £79.95 per tyre, fitted at your home, work or the roadside. That includes fitting, balancing, a new valve and taking the old tyre away, with no call-out charge at any hour. A puncture repair to British Standard BS AU 159 is £39.95.
Fitted at your home, work or the roadside. Budget to premium, priced for your car before we set off.
Repaired to British Standard BS AU 159 from inside the tyre, where the car is parked.
Day or night, any day of the year. The fitting is already in the tyre price.
Spread the cost of a pair or a full set with monthly payments at 0% interest.
Around 32 minutes on average, measured on our own job records across our core area, 24 hours a day. The common sizes ride on the van, so most jobs in Gwytherin are fitted the same day, and rarer sizes are usually next day. Send the registration and where the car is, and a fitted price and a real arrival time come straight back.
The size is on the sidewall of the tyre, or send us a photo of it. It lands with the fitter on shift. No call-out charge, and the fitting is already in the price.
You are through to YourNewTyres. What size are the tyres?
The size is printed on the sidewall, like 205/55 R16. Send that and where you are, and I will come back with a fitted price and the next slot.
A photo of the sidewall does the job if you would rather not type it out.

Got us out of an unfortunate place of a Luton van blowout, super quick helpful and fairly priced!
Stranded in a car park with no spare! Called and they came within the hour, changed the tyre and was on my way 20 minutes later. Great service, delighted they made it so easy.
Brilliant service, same day, quick and easy. Was really rushed for time and they moved things around to ensure they got to me to get it fixed. Would defo recommend
Out here, the garage is the far one. So we are the near one.

Gwytherin is quiet, but big days out are within reach. Hafodunos Hall is about 3.5 miles away, and so is the Amgueddfa Syr Henry Jones Museum in Llangernyw. The Ffin Y Parc Gallery is about 4.5 miles from Gwytherin. Over by Betws-y-Coed, about 5 miles off, there is Gwydir Castle, and Zip World Betws-y-Coed for anyone who fancies flying through the trees.
Up for the zip wire and the car has a soft tyre when you land? It happens. Send us the reg and a pin, then go and have a brew. We drive over and change it where it is parked. Or get home to Gwytherin and we come up the hill to your yard instead. No extra for evenings, and the drive up costs you nothing. The valley is on our mobile tyre fitting Llanrwst page.
Same prices across the Conwy hills.
Reg and postcode on WhatsApp. We send each tyre priced with fitting, plus a real arrival time. 24/7, with nothing charged for the drive up.
Every hill mile on a soft tyre can cost you a rim as well as a tyre. Keep the car still and send the reg.

The arrival time we send is the real one for that job, not a promise made before we know where you are. On a motorway, get behind the barrier first, then send your location, and read what to do after a motorway blowout first.
Yes. We come up to Gwytherin and the farms round it as a normal part of our North Wales work. The van brings the tyre, a changer and a wheel balancer, so the whole job is done in your yard or on your drive. You never have to take a damaged tyre down the hill.
Send the reg to 07943 185471, with your postcode or a map pin. We reply with a fitted price for a budget, a mid range and a premium tyre, and a time we can be there. You choose; if nothing suits, there is no charge.
There is no extra fee for the long drive up. The quote covers fitting, a valve, balancing and taking your old tyre away. You can also call 0300 124 6981. The valley towns are on mobile tyre fitting Llanrwst.
The nearest tyre bays are down in the Conwy valley, in and around Llanrwst, about 4.7 miles away. Getting there means driving hill lanes on a tyre that is already damaged, then waiting for a slot. A mobile fitter turns that round, because the garage drives to Gwytherin.
On steep, narrow lanes, a soft tyre can come off the rim or crack an alloy on a pothole. A tyre that could have been mended for £39.95 can end up scrap, with a wheel to buy as well. So please keep the car still.
Send us a photo of the tyre and we tell you whether it looks like a repair or a new tyre. No spare? Many newer cars have none. Read flat tyre and no spare while you wait. If a space saver is on, go slowly and not far.
Yes. Most cars and pick-ups round Gwytherin live in yards, not on tarmac. That is fine. The fitter needs a patch of firm ground next to the wheel for the jack, and room to park the van near the car.
Deep mud, loose stone and slopes are the only real problems. Tell us what the ground is like when you message and we bring boards and plan the approach. If you can move the vehicle onto concrete or a hard track first, that helps.
We fit car, 4x4, pick-up and van tyres, and we can do several vehicles on one visit. We do not fit tractor or plant tyres. See 4x4 tyres and van tyres. Dogs and gates are worth a mention too.
It depends on the tyre size and the brand you want, and nothing else. Send the reg from Gwytherin and you see three fitted prices together, budget to premium, so the choice is yours.
We do not charge more because Gwytherin is up a hill, and we do not charge more at night or at weekends. The price includes the tyre, fitting, a new valve, balancing and recycling. What you agree on WhatsApp is what the payment link says.
If the fitter finds a different size on the car, he checks the new price with you before starting. A £39.95 puncture repair can be the cheapest answer. Two or more tyres can be spread at 0% interest, subject to status. See mobile fitting costs and is it worth it.
Often, yes. A Gwytherin puncture repair costs £39.95 and is done to BS AU 159. Hedges, flints and farm lanes cause plenty of small punctures, and many of those mend well once the tyre is off the rim and checked inside.
A small hole in the middle of the tread normally repairs. A cut near the shoulder, damage in the side wall or a tyre that has been driven flat down the lane is not safe. The fitter shows you what he finds before any work.
If a repair is not safe, the new tyre goes on during the same visit. Keep the thorn or nail in place until we arrive. See can a puncture be repaired and slow puncture.
Yes. We cover Gwytherin 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and a night call out costs the same as a day one. No night fee, and still no call out charge.
Hill lanes at night are pitch dark and often wet. If a tyre goes on the way home, stop in a gateway or a wide verge where you can be seen, keep the hazards on and stand well back. If the car is blocking the lane, ring 999. Then send us a pin.
If the car is safe in the yard, you may prefer an early morning visit, when the fitter can see the ground. Leave the locking nut key in the car and stay in bed. See emergency tyre fitting.
Safety first, wherever it happens. On the A55 or any fast road, slow down gently, put the hazards on and pull onto the hard shoulder, a lay-by or a slip road. Get everyone out on the side away from the traffic.
On a motorway or dual carriageway, stand behind the barrier. If the car is stuck in a live lane, ring 999 straight away. Never try to change a wheel with traffic passing close by.
Once you are safe, send a pin and a photo, and we come to the car. If recovery has moved it, tell us where to. The full steps are on after a motorway blowout. We can then fit it where it is, or on your drive back in Gwytherin.
You do not have to by law, but many people living up at Gwytherin find all season or winter tyres make a real difference. Hill lanes are the last to be gritted and the first to freeze.
In cold and wet weather, winter and all season tyres stay softer and grip better than summer tyres. All season tyres can stay on all year, so there is no swapping twice a year. For mostly valley driving, a good summer tyre is fine.
We fit all three types. Each price comes with the EU label for wet grip. See do you need winter tyres and summer, winter or all season. Two or more can be spread at 0% interest, subject to status.
Yes. A Gwytherin quote always includes a budget tyre, brand new, next to a mid range and a premium option. We never fit part worn tyres.
If the car mostly does short trips to Llanrwst and back, a good budget tyre is fine. If you tow, run a heavy 4x4, or cover a lot of miles on the A55, a mid range or premium tyre may last longer and cost less per mile. We will tell you honestly.
Each price shows the EU label for wet grip and noise. Two or more tyres can go on 0% monthly payments, subject to status. See budget tyres and budget vs premium. A photo of your tread tells us if they need changing yet.
All of them. Pandy Tudur is about 2 miles from Gwytherin, Llangernyw about 3.6, Llansannan about 4.4, Llanddoged about 4.5, Llanrwst about 4.7 and Capel Garmon about 5.3. The prices and 24/7 cover are the same everywhere.
Farms, cottages, holiday lets and yards all count. Long tracks, gates and fords are fine if you tell us first. If you are not sure we reach your postcode, send it and you get a clear yes or no.
Nearby places have their own pages, like Llangernyw and Llansannan. The main page is mobile tyre fitting Llanrwst. Got a pick-up and a car both due? One trip up the hill covers both. Betws-y-Coed and the upper valley are on the same run, about 6 miles from Gwytherin.
