Mobile tyre fitting · North West & North Wales · We fit around you
Approved by the AA and RAC. No call-out charge. Around 32 minutes on average, 24 hours a day.
info@yournewtyres.co.ukYour Golf GTI, Leon or A3 back on the road without a tow truck. We bring the 225/40 R18 to your drive, your work or the roadside, across the North West and North Wales, 24 hours a day.
Tell us your name and tyre size — we will reply on WhatsApp with a price and an ETA.
We fit 225/40 R18 tyres at home, at work or at the roadside across the North West and North Wales, 24 hours a day. It is a size we order in, so it is usually next day. Send the size or reg on WhatsApp and we reply with a fitted price and a time. No call out charge, whatever the hour.
A pothole on a dark B road. A bang, then the steering pulls. This is the size on warm hatches: the Golf GTI and R, the Cupra Leon, the Leon FR, the A3 S line and the 1 Series M Sport. The Astra, A Class, i30, Ceed, 308 and MINI Clubman use it on higher trims.
We order 225/40 R18 for you, and it is usually with us next day. Then we fit it where the car is. One thing matters on this size. A pothole that splits the tyre often dents or cracks the rim too. So we check the wheel as well as the tyre before anything goes on. Our low profile tyres guide explains why.
You get a fitted price in budget, mid range and premium. Two or more can be spread with pay monthly, 0% and subject to status. Send the reg now or call 0300 124 6981 and we book the earliest slot.
The size is on the sidewall of the tyre, or send us a photo of it. It lands with the fitter on shift. No call-out charge, and the fitting is already in the price.
You are through to YourNewTyres. What size are the tyres?
The size is printed on the sidewall, like 205/55 R16. Send that and where you are, and I will come back with a fitted price and the next slot.
A photo of the sidewall does the job if you would rather not type it out.

Low tyres on quick cars. Here is what happens next.
A loud thump and the GTI starts pulling left. Pull in, look at the tyre and snap a photo. We tell you straight whether it is the tyre, the wheel or both.
The Cupra Leon is sat on a split tyre in a side street. No spare, and foam will not seal a split. We bring a new tyre and fit it where the car stands.
The A3 needs two new fronts to pass. We order the pair, fit them at your work the next day, and you book the retest.
Most messages for this size start with a bang on a pothole. The rest are fronts worn close to the legal line. We sort both at the car, usually the next day. WhatsApp the size or call 0300 124 6981.
On a low tyre, most flats come from a pothole or a kerb, and that means a split wall. A split cannot be repaired. A clean nail in the central tread is different. If the tyre was not driven flat, we can often repair it to BS AU 159 for £39.95. We lift the tyre off the rim and check inside first. Send a photo and we tell you which it looks like.

The legal minimum is 1.6mm, across the middle three quarters of the tread. Go below it and you risk up to £2,500 and 3 points for each tyre. Most warm hatches put their power through the front wheels, so those wear first. Fit the new pair on the same axle. The car stays straight under hard braking, and the grip matches side to side.

On a car with this much power, the tyre does a lot of work. A budget tyre is legal and fine for gentle use. If you enjoy the car or cover long motorway runs, mid range or premium stops shorter in the wet. We send prices in all three tiers, with the EU wet grip grade next to each. You decide.

Stranded in a car park with no spare! Called and they came within the hour, changed the tyre and was on my way 20 minutes later. Great service, delighted they made it so easy.
Brilliant service, same day, quick and easy. Was really rushed for time and they moved things around to ensure they got to me to get it fixed. Would defo recommend
Got us out of an unfortunate place of a Luton van blowout, super quick helpful and fairly priced!
We order your size and fit it where the car is, usually next day. WhatsApp the reg for a fitted price. No call out charge.
Every hour you leave a flat tyre on a car is an hour you cannot use it. The van is on shift now, send the size.
What Golf, Leon, A3 and 1 Series owners ask us.
That depends on the tier you choose, the brand and how many tyres you need. Some owners also want the version with their car maker marking, which can change the price. Send the size or reg on WhatsApp. We reply with fitted prices in each tier. Fitting, balancing, a new valve and taking the old tyre away are all in.
We do not list prices online, because tyre prices change from week to week. What we send is current and it is the full amount. No call out charge, and no extra for evenings or weekends. The fitting is built into the tyre. What mobile fitting costs shows how the number is made up. You see it before we order anything.
Some cars have a maker's marking on the tyre wall, a short code next to the size. If yours has one, we match it. It is not a legal must, and a plain tyre of the right size and rating is fine too. We price both, so you choose. Audi tyres has more on the A3. Send a photo of the wall if you are not sure what is on there now.
Sometimes, but usually it is next day. We do not keep 225/40 R18 on the vans, so we order it in for you. We give you a straight time when you message, not a hopeful one. Once it arrives, we fit it at home, at work or at the roadside, at any hour.
Why not carry it? There are many versions of this size, with different brands, ratings and maker codes. Ordering the right one beats fitting the wrong one today. If we can get it sooner, we say so. All season versions with the snowflake mark can be ordered too, if winter grip matters to you. If the car is stuck, we plan the fit around where it sits. Flat tyre: what to do covers the first steps while you wait.
Stuck for the night? Leave the car somewhere safe and legal, take your valuables and get home. Tell us where it is and when you can meet us there. Ring 0300 124 6981 if you want to plan it with a person. Flat tyre and no spare covers what the foam kit can and cannot fix. On a split wall, the answer is nothing. The fitter can meet you there at a set time.
Yes. We cover Wigan town, Pemberton, Standish, Orrell, Hindley, Ince and Ashton in Makerfield. We fit 225/40 R18 at home, at work or on the roadside, day or night. This size is usually next day, because we order it in. WhatsApp the reg for a fitted price and a time.
Potholes and low tyres do not mix, and the back roads round Wigan have their share. If you hit one on the A49 or the A577, stop when it is safe and look at the tyre and the rim. Send us a photo. Mobile tyre fitting in Wigan has the local detail. Same price and same hours as anywhere else we cover. You may be able to claim from the council for pothole damage, so note the spot.
Heading out on the M6 or the M58 with a tyre warning? Come off at the next junction rather than risk the hard shoulder. Put the hazards on and wait somewhere safe. Send your pin or call 0300 124 6981. We also cover St Helens, Chorley and Bolton close by. The fitters and the prices are the same. Tell us which carriageway you are on. If it is late, we plan the fit for the morning.
Warm hatches, mostly. The Golf GTI and R, the Cupra Leon, the SEAT Leon FR, the Audi A3 S line and the BMW 1 Series M Sport and M135i. The Vauxhall Astra, Mercedes A Class, Hyundai i30, Kia Ceed, Peugeot 308 and MINI Clubman use it on higher trims too.
On the Cupra Leon, 18 inch is the smallest wheel you will find. On the Golf, it depends on trim and year. Some Astras come on 17s and others on 18s. So check the tyre wall, or send the reg. Cupra tyres covers the Leon. We confirm the size against your car before anything is ordered, so the right tyre turns up. Different years can mean different sizes.
The Golf R is four wheel drive. On that car, keep all four tyres the same model and close on tread. A big gap between front and rear can upset the drive system. If one tyre is split and the rest are part worn, we talk you through the options. Volkswagen tyres covers the Golf GTI and R. Tell us the model when you message. The same applies to an A3 with quattro.
It might be. On a low tyre there is little rubber between the pothole and the rim. So a hit that splits the tyre often bends or cracks the wheel as well. That is why we check the rim before fitting a new tyre. A new tyre on a bent wheel will leak and wear badly.
Signs to look for: a shake through the steering, or a flat spot or crack on the rim edge. Or a tyre that keeps losing air after a hit. Take a photo of the inside and outside of the rim if you can. Pothole damage to tyres and wheels shows what to look for. Do not drive far on a wheel you are worried about.
If the rim is cracked, it has to be replaced before a tyre goes on. A small bend can sometimes be straightened by a wheel specialist. We tell you honestly at the car, and we will not fit a tyre to a wheel that is not safe. Note where the pothole was and take photos. You may be able to claim from the council for pothole damage. Alloy wheel refurbishment covers scuffs and kerb marks. Keep any receipts for a council claim.
Sometimes. A nail or screw in the central tread, on a tyre that was not driven flat, can often be fixed. We repair to BS AU 159 for £39.95. On this size, though, most flats come from a pothole split, and a split can never be repaired. We check inside the tyre before deciding.
A repair is off the table if the damage is in the wall or shoulder. It is also off if the tyre ran flat and the inside is scored. An outside plug is not a proper repair on any tyre. If it cannot be saved, we order the replacement and fit it, usually next day. Can a punctured tyre be repaired sets out the rules.
Nail in the tread and the tyre still holding? Do not pull it out. Keep the speed down and the trip short. Send us a clear photo of where it sits. We can often tell you straight away if a repair looks likely. Nail in tyre covers what to do next. If the pressure warning is on, stop and check the tyre before going further. A photo helps us judge before we set off.
Leave it where it is, if it is safe. Most cars on this size carry a foam kit, not a spare. Foam can seal a small hole in the tread. It cannot seal a split wall. Driving on a flat low profile tyre ruins the rim fast. Send a pin and a photo and we come to the car.
Get the car off the road if you can roll it a few metres safely. A side street or a car park is ideal. Put the hazards on. If you are on a fast road, get out on the side away from the traffic. Spare, run flat or sealant explains what your car came with and what each one can do. Then message us.
We order the tyre and fit it where the car stands, usually next day. That saves a recovery truck and a day at a garage. If you need to move the car first, tell us where it went. Want to talk it through at night? Call 0300 124 6981. Emergency tyre fitting explains how a roadside job runs, from your message to the drive home. We keep you updated by message.
Only if your car was sold on 17s from the factory, and you have 17 inch wheels. Some Golfs, Leons and A3s were. The two sizes stand almost the same height, so the speedo stays right. On a Cupra Leon, 18 is the smallest wheel, so there is no swap. We check your car first.
Why would you? The 17 inch tyre has a taller wall. It rides a bit softer, it copes with potholes better and it is often easier to get hold of. The trade is a softer look and slightly less sharp steering. 225/45 R17 tyres covers that size. For a split tyre tonight, stick with the 18 you have. Some owners make the swap before winter, when potholes are at their worst.
Not every trim can go down a wheel size. That is why we check the wheel size from the reg before we suggest any change. Buying second hand 17s? Check the offset and the bolt pattern too. Tyre size explained shows what each number on the wall means. A mismatch can rub or throw the handling off.
It is 1.6mm across the middle three quarters of the tread, all the way round. Under that, you risk up to £2,500 and 3 points for each tyre. Two worn fronts could mean six points in one go. An MOT pass does not protect you. The limit applies every day you drive.
Look for the wear bars in the main grooves. If the tread is level with them, the tyre is at the limit. On a wide, low tyre, check both edges as well as the middle. How to check your tyres shows you how, with just a coin and a torch. Do it once a month and before long trips. The inner edge is easy to miss on a lowered car.
Low profile tyres on quick cars lose a lot of wet grip in the last few millimetres. Many owners change at 3mm for that reason. Look out for cracks and bulges too. A bulge means the inside is damaged, and it can fail without warning. Cracked and perished tyres explains what to look for. A bulge is an MOT fail at any depth. We can check the date code too.
Usually, yes. Tyres on one axle should be the same model and close on tread. On a warm hatch, the fronts do most of the work and wear together. If one is at the limit, the other is not far off. Fitting the pair together saves a second visit and keeps the car stable.
A new tyre next to a half worn one grips differently. Under hard braking in the rain, the car can tug to one side. That is not what you want at a junction. Two tyres or four explains when a pair is the right call. If the other front still has plenty of tread, we fit just the one and say so.
Only one tyre split and the rest look good? We match the model already on the car where we can, so the axle stays even. That may mean ordering a particular brand. Mixing tyres covers what the law allows across axles. We check all four at the car and tell you honestly what can wait. That way the car stays balanced. A photo of the tread on the good side helps.
On a warm hatch, often yes. A premium tyre usually stops shorter in the wet and holds on better through bends. Some also have a raised rubber lip that shields the rim from kerbs. On a car that gets driven hard, that is money well spent. For gentle use, a mid range tyre is fine.
Check the EU label to compare. The wet grip grade, A to E, shows how each tyre stops on a wet road. We send it next to every price. Premium tyres explains what the extra money buys. Michelin, Goodyear and Continental all make this size. Ask for a tyre with a rim protector if you park near kerbs a lot. It will not stop a pothole, but it saves the paint. We tell you which tyres in this size have one.
Budget tyres exist in this size and they are legal. They suit a car that rarely leaves town, or one being sold soon. On a quick car doing big miles, the saving is small against the grip you give up. Budget vs premium tyres sets out the trade. Tell us how you drive and we recommend one. There is no pressure either way.
Yes, on two tyres or more. It is 0% interest, subject to status. We order the tyres, fit them where the car is, and you spread the cost over the next few months. That helps when a pothole takes out two tyres, or both fronts go at the same MOT. It works the same on a Golf or an A3.
You apply when you book, and it is quick. Once approved, we order and fit as normal, usually next day. The amount you spread is the fitted price, with no fee on top. There is no call out charge either, so nothing extra appears. Pay monthly tyres lists what you need to apply.
Just one tyre with a nail in the tread? A puncture repair for £39.95 may be all it needs, and there is nothing to spread. We check for a safe repair before we sell you anything. If a new tyre is the answer, we show you the damage first. Want to talk before you apply? Ring 0300 124 6981. We only fit what the car actually needs.
