The short answer

Who fits 185/65 R15 tyres near me?

We fit 185/65 R15 tyres wherever your car is, across the North West and North Wales, 24 hours a day. Drive, car park or kerbside, we come to it. It is on the van, so most jobs are done the same day. Message the size or your reg on WhatsApp. You get a fitted price and a time, with no call out charge.

A small car does everything. The school run, the shift, the big shop, the visit to your mum. So a flat on it stops the whole week. You need it back today, not when a garage can squeeze you in.

We carry 185/65 R15 because so many small cars wear it. The fitter changes the tyre next to your car, balances the wheel and fits a new valve. The old tyre leaves with him. It is 20 to 40 minutes a tyre. Driving a Sandero? Check it is not a Stepway first. The Stepway and Jogger take a different size, and the wrong tyre means a wasted trip. See how we fit at your door.

Pick budget, mid range or premium. We price all three with fitting in. For two or more, pay monthly at 0%, subject to status, keeps the cost down this month. WhatsApp the size, or call 0300 124 6981 if you want to talk. We send the time the van can reach you.

WhatsApp, any hour

Send the tyre size. We send back a fitted price and a time.

The size is on the sidewall of the tyre, or send us a photo of it. It lands with the fitter on shift. No call-out charge, and the fitting is already in the price.

You are through to YourNewTyres. What size are the tyres?

The size is printed on the sidewall, like 205/55 R16. Send that and where you are, and I will come back with a fitted price and the next slot.

A photo of the sidewall does the job if you would rather not type it out.

The small car call outs

When a 185/65 R15 lets you down

Superminis do the busy miles. These are the calls we get.

01CARE

Between home visits

A carer's Yaris goes soft outside a client's house. Three more calls to make before tea. We meet the car there and change the tyre while the visit goes on.

02TEST

Flat on driving test day

The Corsa is booked in for a test at ten and one tyre is flat. Message us first thing. We tell you straight if we can get there in time.

03NIGHT

End of a night shift

Your Micra has a flat outside the hospital and you are shattered. Sit in the car with the doors locked. We come to you, whatever the hour.

Flat or worn out

185/65 R15 flat or bald? Two fixes, one visit.

A flat and a bald tyre need different answers. We give you the right one at the car. We never sell a tyre you do not need. Message the size, or ring 0300 124 6981.

Puncture? Repair first if it is safe

Small cars pick up nails on building site roads and new estates. If the nail is in the middle of the tread, a repair is often fine. We take the tyre off the wheel and look inside before we promise anything. A safe repair is done to BS AU 159 and costs £39.95. A split wall, a hole near the edge or a tyre driven flat needs a new one. That comes off the van on the same visit.

Worn out? The legal line is 1.6mm

A small car wears its front tyres fast, because the fronts steer, pull and brake. The law says 1.6mm across the middle three quarters of the tread. Under that, each tyre can cost up to £2,500 and 3 points. Replace the fronts as a pair so the grip matches. A mismatched pair can make a light car twitch when you brake on a wet road.

Budget, mid range or premium on a small car

Most superminis do short, gentle miles. For that, a good budget tyre is often enough. If you drive the motorway to work, or the car carries the family, step up to mid range. Premium gives the best wet grip and often lasts longest. Every price comes with the wet grip grade from the EU label. That one letter makes comparing easy.

FAQs

185/65 R15 tyre questions

Honest answers for small car drivers on 185/65 R15.

That comes down to the tier, the brand and whether you need one or a pair. Send us the size or your reg and we reply with fitted prices in all three tiers. Small car tyres are among the easier ones on the wallet. Fitting, balancing, a valve and disposal are all inside the price.

We do not print a price list, and there is a good reason. Tyre prices move month to month, so a printed figure would soon be wrong. What we can promise is how it works. You get one fitted price. There is no call out charge on top, because fitting is built into the tyre. Night or day, it stays the same. Mobile fitting vs garage cost compares the two.

On a supermini, a pair of budget tyres is often a sensible buy. The car is light and the miles are usually short. Doing longer runs? Mid range tends to last longer and grip better in the wet. Ask us which suits you and we will say so plainly. For two or more, pay monthly spreads the bill at 0% interest, subject to status.

Yes. That is exactly what we do. A fitter drives to your house with the tyre on the van, and fits it on your drive or at the kerb. Same day is normal for this size. We work 24 hours, and in our core area we average around 32 minutes to reach you.

You do not need a garage, a drive or a power socket. The van carries everything, including the machine that takes the tyre off and the one that balances the wheel. A flat bit of road next to the car is enough. Parked on a steep hill or a narrow lane? Tell us, and we will plan for it. Can you fit tyres at home answers the usual worries.

Not at home? We come to work, the gym car park, the station or the roadside just as happily. Send a pin if the car is not at an address. If the tyre went at speed, read flat tyre: what to do first. It covers where to stop and what not to try. Then message us, and we take it from there.

Yes, both. This is a busy small car size, so the choice is good. An all season tyre suits most drivers here. You keep it on all year and stop worrying about frosty mornings. A full winter tyre makes sense if you live high up or often drive out on hill roads.

The mark to look for is a mountain peak with a snowflake. It shows the tyre passed a snow grip test, not just a sales claim. Light cars gain a lot, because they have less weight pressing the tyre into the road. That extra bite on a cold, wet morning is real. See do you need winter tyres in the UK for an honest view.

If your car does town miles and sits on a drive, a summer tyre is still fine. It is quieter and often a little cheaper. The switch pays off for people who drive early, late and every day, in all weather. Not sure? Tell us your usual week when you send the size. All season tyres explains the trade in plain words. We will give you a straight answer for your car.

Mainly small hatchbacks. The Vauxhall Corsa E and F, Toyota Yaris, Nissan Micra and Hyundai i20 all use it. So do the Audi A1, SEAT Ibiza, Citroen C3, Peugeot 208, MG3 and the electric Fiat 500e. The standard Dacia Sandero wears it too, but the Stepway does not.

The Sandero is the one to watch. The plain Sandero and the Stepway share a name, a shape and a showroom. They do not share tyres. The Stepway and the Jogger run a bigger size. Order the wrong one and the van turns up with tyres that will not go on. So we always ask. Dacia tyres has the details for each model.

On the Corsa F, this is the 1.2 petrol size. The diesel runs something else. That is why the badge on the back is not enough to go on. The tyre wall or your reg tells the true story. Send either one and we check it before anything goes on the van. Vauxhall tyres covers the whole Corsa range and more. On the Yaris and Micra, the same rule applies. Trims differ, so check.

Not on the same wheels, as a rule. Small cars run narrow wheels, and a wider tyre will not sit right on them. It can wear badly and handle worse. Some of these cars did come on 195/55 R16 on other trims, but that means different wheels. For a flat, stick to your size.

What do the numbers mean? The 185 is the width. The 65 tells you the wall is fairly tall compared with that width. R15 is the wheel size in inches. That tall wall is a good thing on a small car. It soaks up bumps and gives the wheel some protection when you clip a kerb. Tyre size explained goes through the full code.

Thinking of bigger wheels when all four are due? Look at 195/55 R16, the step up many of these cars offer. It looks a bit sharper. It rides a little firmer. Your speedo stays right, because the overall height is almost the same. We will only fit it if your wheels are made for it. Ask us before you buy wheels.

Quite often, yes. If the hole is in the main part of the tread and you stopped soon after it went down, it can usually be fixed. We check inside the tyre first. A safe repair is done to BS AU 159 for £39.95. If it is not safe, we fit a new one there and then.

Some damage rules out a repair straight away. A hole close to the edge of the tread. Any cut or bulge on the side. A tyre that ran flat and got hot and torn inside. You cannot always see that last one from outside, which is why we take the tyre off. Puncture repairs explains how a proper repair is done.

Small cars often have a foam kit, not a spare. Foam can get you home on a tiny hole. It will not fix a split. If you have used foam, tell us when you message. It helps the fitter to know before he starts. Flat tyre and no spare covers your options. Ring 0300 124 6981 if you are stuck and would rather speak to someone.

The legal limit is 1.6mm, across the middle three quarters of the tread and right round the tyre. Under that, you risk a fine of up to £2,500 and 3 points, for every tyre. On a small car, the fronts usually reach the limit first. Check them before the MOT, not after.

Checking takes a minute. Find the little bars sitting in the grooves. If the tread is flush with them, the tyre is at the limit. A 20p coin works as a quick test too. Slot it in. If you can see the edge band, the tread is getting low. Our guide on how to check your tyres shows it step by step, with photos.

Many drivers change well before the limit. On a light car, grip on wet roads drops off as the tread wears. Around 3mm is a sensible point to start pricing. Look at the sidewall too. Deep cracks from age are a problem, even with good tread left. Small cars that do few miles often suffer from this. The tread looks fine, but the rubber has aged. Read cracked and perished tyres to see what to look for.

If both fronts are worn, fit two. If one tyre is damaged and the other is nearly new, one is fine. What matters is that the two tyres on each axle match closely. On a light car, a big difference in grip from side to side shows up quickly when you brake hard.

Front tyres on small cars do almost all the work. They steer, they drive and they do most of the braking. So they tend to wear down at the same pace. If one is at the limit, the other is rarely far off. Doing both at once also saves a second visit. Two tyres or four sets out when each makes sense.

We never push a full set. We check all four and tell you plainly what can wait and what cannot. If the backs have years left, we say so. If the fronts are wearing on one edge, that can point to the tracking. Our guide to uneven tyre wear explains what the pattern tells you. Send us a photo and we will take a look.

For many small cars, yes. A good budget tyre on a light hatchback doing town miles is a sound choice. If you cover lots of motorway miles or drive in all weather, mid range is usually worth it. Premium gives the best stopping in the wet. We price all three for you.

The EU label helps you compare quickly. It grades each tyre on wet grip, from A down to E. We put that grade next to every price. So you can see what the extra money buys in grip. Brands in this size run from budget names up to Continental and Bridgestone. Read tyre labels explained for the full label.

Be wary of very cheap part worn tyres. You do not know their history, and some are unsafe. A new budget tyre is a far better buy. Read part worn tyres for the risks. Then compare new tyres in all three tiers on your phone. You pick the one you like, and we fit it at the car. A good new tyre in the budget tier costs less than people expect.

Yes, right across Preston. From the city centre out to Fulwood, Ashton, Ribbleton and Penwortham, we fit at home, at work or at the roadside. It is day or night, with no call out charge. This size is on the van, so a same day fit is normal. WhatsApp the size and postcode.

Preston sits where the M6, the M55 and the M61 meet, so it is easy for us to reach. Tyre gone on the M6 near Preston? Pull onto the hard shoulder, climb out on the verge side and wait behind the barrier. Then send your pin. Stuck in town instead? Pull into a side street or a car park if you can. See mobile tyre fitting in Preston for more.

Out towards Leyland, Bamber Bridge or Longridge? Same service, same fitters, same hours. Plenty of Preston customers book us for the work car park, so the car is ready when they finish. Want to talk first? Call 0300 124 6981 and we will talk it through. The full coverage list shows all 2,700+ areas we reach. Not sure if your street is on it? Just ask us.

Not a special size, but the right load rating. The electric Fiat 500e wears 185/65 R15, like many petrol superminis. It is heavier, though, because of the battery. So its tyres must be able to carry more. We check the rating for your car before we quote. You get the right tyre first time.

Look for a load number after the size on the tyre wall, and sometimes the letters XL. XL means extra load. On a heavy car, a tyre with too low a rating wears fast and can overheat. It is not a risk worth taking to save a little money. EV tyres explained goes through what an electric car needs.

Electric cars are quiet, so you hear the tyres more. A tyre with a low noise grade on the EU label makes the cabin calmer. Some owners also want an easy rolling tyre to stretch the range. We can price both kinds. Fiat tyres covers the petrol 500 and the 500e. Just tell us which car you drive when you message. The petrol 500 runs a different size, so it matters.

Yes, when you buy two or more. It is 0% interest, subject to status, and you apply when you book. The tyres go on the car as normal, and the cost is split over a few months. It is handy when both fronts go at once and payday is still two weeks off.

The amount you spread is the same fitted price you would pay on the day. Nothing is added for us coming to you. There is no call out charge at any hour. Once you are approved, we book the van and fit as usual. Pay monthly tyres lists what you need to apply. It only takes a few minutes on your phone.

Only need one tyre, or maybe just a repair? Then there is nothing to spread. A puncture repair is £39.95 if the damage is safe to fix. We always look at that first. If a new tyre is the right call, we show you why before we fit it. Call 0300 124 6981 if you would like to talk it over first. There is no pressure to decide on the spot.
