Mobile tyre fitting · North West & North Wales · We fit around you
Approved by the AA and RAC. No call-out charge. Around 32 minutes on average, 24 hours a day.
info@yournewtyres.co.ukYour little car back on four good tyres today, and no trip to a garage. We fit 185/55 R15 outside your house, at work or next to the kerb that did the damage, across the North West and North Wales, 24 hours a day.
Tell us your name and tyre size — we will reply on WhatsApp with a price and an ETA.
We fit 185/55 R15 tyres at home, at work or at the roadside across the North West and North Wales, 24 hours a day. City car sizes like this one travel on the van, so today is normal. WhatsApp us the size or your reg. We reply with a fitted price and a time, and there is no call out charge.
This is the tyre on the Fiat 500 and Panda, the Citroen C1, the Hyundai i10 and the Kia Picanto. Small cars on tight streets. One scrape while parking and the tyre wall splits. Now the car is going nowhere, and the bus is not an option at six in the morning.
We carry 185/55 R15, so the fitter turns up with your tyre, not a promise to come back. Old one off, new one on, fresh valve, balanced and set to the pressure on your door sticker. Each tyre takes 20 to 40 minutes. See fitting at home for how the visit runs. One check first: the electric 500e takes a different size, so tell us which 500 is on your drive.
Budget, mid range and premium all come in this size, and we price all three in one message. Need two or more? Pay monthly lets you spread them at 0%, subject to status. Message now or ring 0300 124 6981 and the nearest van gets your job.
The size is on the sidewall of the tyre, or send us a photo of it. It lands with the fitter on shift. No call-out charge, and the fitting is already in the price.
You are through to YourNewTyres. What size are the tyres?
The size is printed on the sidewall, like 205/55 R16. Send that and where you are, and I will come back with a fitted price and the next slot.
A photo of the sidewall does the job if you would rather not type it out.

Small cars, tight streets, short trips. This is how most of our calls start.
A tight gap on a terraced street. You heard the scrape. Now there is a bulge on the tyre wall. Do not drive on it. Send a photo and we come to the car.
The Picanto is sitting low on one corner and the shopping is in the boot. Drop us a pin from the car park. We fit a new tyre before the frozen stuff thaws.
Most 500s carry a sealant kit instead of a spare wheel. Sealant cannot close a split sidewall. We bring the tyre and fit it right where you stopped.
On a city car the tread is rarely what goes first. The tyre gets kerbed, or it picks up a screw on the school run. Whichever it is, we fix it wherever the car is sitting. Call 0300 124 6981 or send the size on WhatsApp.
Picked up a screw near the centre of the tread? That is often fixable. First the tyre comes off the wheel so we can see the inside. Safe to fix? Then it is a BS AU 159 repair for £39.95. A scrape through the sidewall is another story. That is the usual kerb damage on these cars, and no one can repair it. Nor a tyre that was driven flat. Then a new one comes off the van.

You need 1.6mm of tread over the central three quarters of the tyre. Drop below it and each tyre can cost you 3 points and a fine as high as £2,500. City cars do lots of short hops with tight turns. The fronts do the steering and most of the braking, so they wear first. Change them as a pair on that axle. Odd grip side to side makes a light car twitchy in the wet.

Only doing work, school and the shops? A good budget tyre does the job. Taking the Panda or the i10 up the M62 every week? Mid range grips better in the rain and lasts longer. Premium is there if you want the shortest stops in a downpour. Each price arrives with its EU label wet grip grade beside it. You choose.

Got us out of an unfortunate place of a Luton van blowout, super quick helpful and fairly priced!
Stranded in a car park with no spare! Called and they came within the hour, changed the tyre and was on my way 20 minutes later. Great service, delighted they made it so easy.
Brilliant service, same day, quick and easy. Was really rushed for time and they moved things around to ensure they got to me to get it fixed. Would defo recommend
This size rides with us in the van. Message the size or your reg and we reply with a fitted price and a time. We never charge a call out, at any hour.
The van is on shift right now. Common sizes are on board, and the price is the same at midnight as it is at midday.
Plain answers for city car drivers.
The price comes down to the tier you pick and how many tyres you need. Send the size or your reg on WhatsApp and we reply with budget, mid range and premium, all fitted. Each one already pays for the fitter, a fresh valve, the balance and getting rid of the old tyre. Nothing is added for the trip out to you.
We do not print figures, because tyre prices shift with the season and the brand. How the price is made stays fixed. The visit is built into the tyre. So a quote at teatime is the same quote at two in the morning. Nothing gets added once the van is parked. What mobile fitting costs breaks it down line by line, if you like to see the sums.
Weighing us up against driving to a garage? Count the time off work, the wait in the lounge and the drive there on a damaged tyre. Then compare. Our mobile versus garage guide does that honestly. If both fronts are due, ask for a price on the pair. It saves a second visit. Two or more can also go on pay monthly at 0%, subject to status.
Yes, most days. We carry city car sizes like this one, so we are not waiting on a delivery. Vans are out every hour of every day of the year. We reach you in around 32 minutes on average in our core area. Message the size and your postcode and we reply with an arrival time you can plan around.
If the closest van has just fitted its last one, we say so straight away. Then you get the next honest slot, not a vague maybe. Stuck at the side of a busy road with a flat? Read what to do with a flat tyre while you wait. It covers where to stand and what to send us. Switch your hazards on and stay behind the barrier if there is one.
Once the fitter is with your car, allow 20 to 40 minutes per tyre. You do not need to hang around. Plenty of people leave the keys with a neighbour or on the desk at work. We send a message when it is done. Our emergency tyre fitting page explains how late night and early morning calls work. Night or day, the price is the same.
No. The electric Fiat 500e runs on 185/65 R15, a taller tyre than the petrol 500. The badge on the back looks almost the same, so people mix them up all the time. Send us the reg before we set off. We check which car you have, so the right tyre comes in the van.
The two sizes will not swap. The 185 is the width, and the 55 or 65 is how tall the wall is against it. The taller tyre on the 500e changes the overall height of the wheel. Fit the wrong one and the speedo and the safety systems get the wrong readings. The 500e is also heavier, because of the battery, so the load rating on its tyres matters more. Our EV tyres explained guide covers what an electric car needs from a tyre.
Driving a petrol 500 on Lounge trim? Then 185/55 R15 is very likely your size. Still, a quick look costs nothing. It is printed on the tyre wall, and on the label in the door frame by the driver seat. The Fiat tyres page covers the Panda and the rest of the range too. If you are unsure, send a photo of the tyre and we read it for you.
No. Damage to the sidewall cannot be repaired, on any tyre, by anyone. The wall flexes every time the wheel turns, so a patch will not hold. If kerbing has left a bulge, a cut or a scuff through the rubber, the tyre needs replacing. We carry this size, so it is usually a same day job.
Narrow rims on city cars sit close to the kerb, with very little rubber sticking out to protect them. That is why we see so much of this on 500s, C1s and Picantos. A light scuff in the outer rubber can be fine. A bulge is not. It means the cords inside have snapped. Read pothole and kerb damage to spot the difference.
The wheel often takes a knock at the same time. We look at the rim once the tyre is off. A scraped rim still holds air in most cases. A bent one does not, and we tell you before fitting a new tyre to it. Want the scuffs gone too? See alloy wheel refurbishment. Send a photo and we give you a straight answer, or call 0300 124 6981.
Often, yes. A nail in the central part of the tread, on a tyre that was not driven flat, is usually a £39.95 fix to BS AU 159. First we pull the tyre off the wheel and inspect the inside. The damage you cannot see from the outside decides it.
A repair is off the table when the hole is near the edge, or when the tyre was run flat and the inside is chewed up. A string plug pushed in from outside does not count as a real repair. It can fail without warning. When we cannot repair it, we say why and fit a new one. The puncture repairs page shows what a proper repair includes.
Keeps going soft every few days but no nail to be seen? That is a slow leak. It could be the valve, the rim or a tiny hole. We find it with the tyre off the wheel. Read slow puncture for the signs. Until then, check the pressure before each drive. A small car on a soft tyre wears the edge fast and handles badly on a bend.
City cars. The Fiat 500 on Lounge trim and the Fiat Panda. The Citroen C1, as one of the sizes Citroen lists. The Hyundai i10 Mk3 and the Kia Picanto Mk3. The electric Fiat 500e does not use it. That car takes 185/65 R15, so check which 500 you drive.
The C1 came on more than one wheel size over its life. The same goes for plenty of small cars. So the model name alone is not proof. Look at the tyre wall, or the sticker in the driver door. Or send us the reg and we look it up before we order anything. It takes a minute and saves a wasted trip. The Citroen tyres page covers the C1 and the rest of the range.
The i10 and the Picanto are close cousins. Both watch the pressure with a sensor inside each wheel. When a new tyre goes on, we take care with the sensor and reset the warning before we leave. If a sensor has died, we can swap it on the same visit. Tell us if the warning light is already on. See Hyundai tyres and Kia tyres for more on those two.
Yes. Most of the main brands make an all weather version in this size. On a small car that sleeps on the street all winter, it can make sense. You get more grip on cold, wet mornings than a summer tyre gives. And you never swap sets or store spare wheels in a flat.
The sign to look for is a mountain with a snowflake inside it, moulded on the side. A tyre only earns that after a proper snow test. City cars are light, so they struggle for grip on a frosty hill more than a heavy estate does. A good all season tyre helps. Our all season tyres guide lays out where they win and where a summer tyre still does better.
Only doing town runs in the day, with gritted roads? A summer tyre is fine for most people. Living up a steep side street, or out early before the gritters? All season is worth a look. Some drivers go for proper winter tyres, but that means two sets. See winter tyres if you are thinking about it. Tell us your routine and we will point you the right way.
Down to 1.6mm and no lower. That is measured over the central three quarters of the tread, around the whole tyre. Below it you face a fine as big as £2,500 plus 3 points, and that is for each tyre. Two worn tyres could put your licence at risk.
Look for the small raised bars sitting low down between the tread blocks. Once the rubber is flush with them, the tyre is done. The 20p test gives a rough idea too. Push the coin into a groove. If the outer rim of the coin shows, you are close. Our how to check your tyres guide takes you through it in five minutes on the drive.
City car tyres often go from age before they wear out, because the car does so few miles. Look for fine cracks between the tread blocks and on the wall. Old, hard rubber grips poorly in the wet even with tread left. A bulge or a cut can fail the MOT at any depth. See failed MOT on tyres if you have an advisory or a fail sheet. Send us a photo if you cannot read the date on the wall.
The law does not demand it, but it is usually the right call. Both front tyres have done the same miles over the same potholes. If one is worn out, the other is rarely far behind. A matching pair on the axle means the car stops straight. It also saves booking a second visit next month.
On a light car, a mismatch on one axle is easy to feel. One side grips, the other slides, and the car tugs under hard braking. Same size and type on each axle is the rule of thumb. The mixing tyres guide covers what is legal and what is simply a bad idea. Most of the time, a pair is the better buy.
Kerbed one tyre and the other is nearly new? Then one tyre is fine, and we tell you so. We look at all four while we are with the car. Anything close to the limit, we flag. Anything with plenty left, we leave alone. The two tyres or four guide explains when a single tyre is the honest answer. A good tyre stays on the car, and you keep your money.
For a city car on short, slow trips, a decent budget tyre is fine. If the car goes on the motorway often, or you want the best stopping in the rain, go mid range or premium. We send all three side by side, with the wet grip grade for each. Then you decide.
The EU label gives each tyre a letter for wet grip, with A the best and E the worst. That single letter tells you more than the brand name does. It shows how quickly the tyre stops on a wet road. Put two tyres next to each other and the grade makes the choice simple. Read tyre labels explained to see the rest of the label, including noise and fuel.
Keeping the car for years and driving it daily? A mid range tyre often wears slower, so it can cost less per mile. Selling it next year, or it only does the school run? Budget is a fair choice, and we will say so. See budget tyres for the makes we trust at that level. At the top, Bridgestone, Michelin and Pirelli make this size. Tell us how you use the car and we will point you to the right tier.
Yes. Widnes is on our doorstep. We cover the whole town, from the shops in the centre out to the estates and the riverside. We fit at home, at work or the roadside, at any hour. WhatsApp the size or your reg and we reply with a fitted price and a time.
Runcorn, Halebank and Hale Village are close by, and the Mersey Gateway links it all. We fit on industrial estates and retail parks too, while you carry on working. Same fitter, same fitted price, same round the clock hours as the rest of our area. Read mobile tyre fitting in Widnes for more on the local side. Tell us the street and we give you a time.
Flat on a busy road or a bridge approach? Pull over somewhere safe, stand well back from passing cars and send a location pin. Rather talk to a person? Call 0300 124 6981 to talk it through. Not sure if your area is on our patch? The areas we cover page lists more than 2,700 places. Ask us anyway and we will tell you straight.
Yes, when you buy two or more. The rate is 0%, subject to status. The tyres go on today and you pay over the next few months. The fitted price does not change because you split it. Handy when the MOT flags both fronts in a week with no spare cash.
You apply when you book, and it only takes a few minutes. Once approved, the fitter comes out as normal. We never charge for coming out, so nothing gets added for the visit. What you are quoted is what you spread, with no fees on top. The pay monthly tyres page lists what you need to apply.
Just one tyre damaged? Then there is no point splitting the cost. A single tyre, or a £39.95 repair if the hole is in the right place, may be all the car needs. We always look for a safe repair first. Our puncture repair rules explain what decides it. Ring 0300 124 6981 to talk it through with a person first. If the other front is close to the limit, we tell you, and then the pair makes sense.
